I love nuts and I can not choose which one is my favorite. There is a myriad of nuts and they are plenty of nutriments. They are rich in fats that are excellent for our body health and function. They have a small quantity of carbohydrates. Although ones more than others, nuts also contains protein. You can make butter form any nut or you can even mix them! When combined with fruits, nuts act as a boost in our system. That is why they are great for a pre, during or post workout.
Certainly, pistachios are the nuts with the most unique and strong flavor. Did you know that pistachios have more potassium than a banana?
For these reasons, I decided to make a Pistachio Ice Cream and I added a bunch of spinach to intensify the green color. I topped it with berries. You can add pistachios, dark chocolate, seeds, other fruits, coconut oil, nut butter or greek yogurt.
Ingredients yield: 1 person
1.5 chopped and frozen banana (4-6oz) 3tbsp pistachios a bunch of green leaves water for blending
optional: greek yogurt, fruits, dark chocolate, coconut oil, cinnamon
Procedure: In a blender put all the ingredients for the ice cream and blend with water until ice cream consistency. Transfer the ice cream to the serving dish or jar and add the toppings.
