Peanut Butter and Cocoa Ice Cream? I think it is one of the classic flavors that kids and adults like. This ice cream is like eating an exceptional peanut butter cup. It has peanut butter, bananas and cocoa. It is super delicious that you won’t resist the temptaion to eat or crave it. It is healthy alternative to the chocolate or peanut butter ice creams from Ben and Jerrys, Cold Stone or other creamery. This ice cream is preservative, chemicals, dairy and colorant free. It is a natural and GMO free.

Instead of peanut butter, you can use PB2 which is basically peanut butter flour and has less fat and more protein. You can add 2T off PB2. If using peanut butter, then add one tablespoon in case you don’t want a stronger peanut flavor. I dare you to add extra peanut butter if you consider yourself a truly peanut butter lover!

I went crazy with the toppings and added berries, dark chocolate chips, more banana and a drizzle of peanut butter. This ice cream is a complete meal with healthy fats, carbohydrates and protein.

Ingredients:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              yield: 1 person

2 frozen chopped bananas (5-6oz)         2T cocoa      1T peanut butter or  2Tpeanut butter powder        ice cubes and water for blending

Optional toppings: dark chocolate, slices of banana, more peanut butter!     any type of fruit, peanuts (for crunchiness)          Cacao con mantequilla de maní (3)

Procedure:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               In a blender add all the ingredients for the ice cream. Blend cautiously with water and ice until ice cream consistency is reached. Transfer the ice cream to a tall glass or bowl and add the favorite toppings.
