Green Peas Patties

These patties had been the best that I had ever done! They were so but so savory with a touch of garlic. The main ingredient for this patties were peas. I use to buy dry beans, garbanzos, lentils, etc, cook them and then store them in the refrigerator or fridge them. I usually eat them with rice, quinoa or in a salad but sometimes I come up with a better idea and that is where the fun begins!

I took this recipe from Contentedness Cooking and the recipe included a hummus sauce which I basically turned into a guacamole with peas, onion and almonds. It has a lot of flavor that you can eat it with a spoon. It also has texture because of the almonds.

The patties where incredibly firm but soft and moist. The mixture consisted of peas, avocado, onion and spices.

The patties are baked during 40 mins.

Once cooked, you can eat them with a salad or burger buns.

Ingredients:

yield: about 12 patties

For the Avocado Hummus:

1 avocado

1tsp garlic powder

1/4 cup sliced almons

1/4 cup peas

For the patties:

2T of the Avocado Hummus

4 cups peas (any bean can work too)

1 cup chopped onion

salt to taste

Procedure:

For the Avocado Hummus:

1- Simply blend all of the ingredients in a food processor until smooth.

2- Store and set aside.

For the patties:

1- Pre heat the oven at 200°C.

2- In a blender, process all fo the ingredients until combined but not smooth.

3- In a greased baking tray with coconut oil, add about 1/4 cup of the mixture.

4- Ttransfer them to the oven and cook for 20mins on one side.

5- Take out and carefully flip with a spatula and bake again for 20 mins.

6- Finally, remove from the oven and serve or let cool and store later.
