Green Oats


This oatmeal was delicious! Don’t be afraid of trying new things beacuse they can surprise you. In order to consume more veggies one useful technic is”hidding” them in your food. This brilliant green color comes from juiced spinachs. For them to taste like breakfast I added vanilla and coconut essence to the cooking oats and a touch of local honey. I also added chia seeds to give them a boost. The idea of topped them with coconut shreds was great beacuse they slightly melt in the hot oats. Second, the juicy strawberries infused with the sweet oats in each bite you take. You will never want this dish to finish, I promise!WP_20150308_034

Ingredients:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            yield: 1 person

1/2cup oats      1cup spinach juice      1/4tsp vanilla essence     1/4tsp coconut essence     1T honey      1T chia seeds

Topings: 1T coconut shreds      strawberries


Procedure:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                In a casserole on medium heat add the spinach juice and the oats and mix well. Now, add the essences, chia seeds and honey. Give it a stir and cook it during 3mins until the oats are creamy. Once done, transfer the oats to a deep dish and add the toppings.
