Chocolate Waffle

What do you like about waffles?

I like the texture of it. I like the contrast that it has that it is toasty or crunchy in the outside but in the inside they are warm, moist and soft. What I also like about waffle is that the topping process is more fun! You can make it a sandwich, you can fill it, you can top it with spreads, syrup sauces, fruits or even ice creams.

As you may noticed, I am a CHOCOLATE LOVER! I made Chocolate Waffles with a banana, berries and a basic Icadelicias Cashew Spread sauce. The Cashew sauce is only mixed with almond milk. You may add any spice or sweetener as you preferred. Sometimes waffles can be dry, but with a drizzle of this Cashew sauce, your waffle will be soft and moist and perfect to eat without the necessity to add any additional sweetener.

For the waffle:

1/4cup whole wheat flour

1 scoop vegan protein powder

2 tsp maca powder

2T unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4tsp baking powder

a pinch of sea salt

water for mixing

For the Cashew Sauce:

2 tsp Icadelicias Cashew Spread

1T almond milk

a banana

For the waffle:

1- Preheat the waffle iron.

2- In a bowl, mix all of the ingredients of the waffle with the water until consistency.

3- Pour all of the batter into the waffle iron and flip the machine. Let cook for three minutes and flip again the machine and cook for three more minutes.

4- Turn off the machine and carefully, remove the waffle and transfer it to the serving dish.

For the Cashew sauce:

1- In a small recipient, mix the Cashew Spread with the almond milk until sauce consistency.

1- Add the banana and berries to the waffle.

2- Drizzle the Cashew Spread sauce over and ENJOY.
