Pecans are a very peculiar nut. They are naturally sweet and cinnamon scented. This nut is softer than the other nuts that are usually harder and crunchier. That is why pecans are used for many desserts. For an even more flavorful pecan nut, you may roast them in the oven, toast them in the pan or add them to your granola. You can freely enjoy these nuts and get wonderful benefits. Pecans are the nuts that contains most antioxidants that includes polyphenolic antioxidant ellagic acid, vitamin E, beta-carotene, lutein and zea-xanthin. Pecans can prevent the Coronary Heart Disease by inhibiting unwanted oxidation of blood lipids. The fiber contained in pecans promotes colon health. Pecans also contain zinc and magnesium.

Icadelicias Pecan Spread is wonderfully delicious and healthy with just pecans and organic coconut oil. It best pairs up with bananas, an oatmeal or for making a PecanNice Cream

When I saw Naturally Sassy’s Pecan Caramel Dessert Pot, it looked too tempting to try it… and it was worth it. I cannot believe that such a nut can have so much flavor! The dessert tasted as cinnamon, nutmeg and such spices but it only has vanilla. The pecans added the rest! Naturally Sassy’s Pecan Caramel Dessert Pots only have pecans, dates, coconut oil, almond milk and vanilla. Although it is made with healthy fats, I adjusted the recipe so it contains less fats.

You may it this dessert with fruits, as a side with a cake, use it for a frosting or a crepe filling.
