Red Velvet Waffle


You will be asking yourself why red velvet waffles if they are note red? You have a relevant point; they must be read. In the deepness they are read but in the outside they are regular waffles. When I made the batter, its color was a beautiful kind of fushia, but at the cooking time, they turned brown. WP_20150818_002

Even though, They preserved a velvety flavor and flavor is the most important.

This Red Velvet Waffles has the sweetness of the beet, rasberries and strawberries, which were the ingredients to make the juice. I simply blend the juice with water. You will love there unique and peculiar flavor. I toppoed the waffles with banana slices, blueberries, a chopped strawberry and pieces of a dark chocolate bar.


Ingredients:                                                                                                                                                                                       yield: 1 person

1/4cup whole wheat flour       2tsp brown sugar        1/2tsp baking powder       1/2tsp coconut essence (optional)      homemade red juice for mixing

Optional toppings: banana slices, berries, dark chocolate

Procedure:                                                                                                                                                                                         First, turn on the waffle maker on maximum heat.

Now, add all of the ingredients for the waffle and  mix with the juice until consistency. Pour all of the batter in the waffle iron and cook for 7minutes each side. Turn off the machine and carefully, take out the waffle and transfer it to the serving dish.


Plate it as your wish and add the toppings.
