Mocha Waffles

I know… we are on early August and not in Valentines but I promise that I did not make it on purpose. Anyways, this is a beautiful and lovely waffle for your mate at any time of the year. What else can be more aphrodisiac than cocoa, dark chocolate chips, coffee and strawberries? I topped the Mocha Waffles with a rasberry yogurt sauce and chopped strawberries. The texture of the waffle is perfect and the fluffiness is insane. You may confuse it with a cake because it is so fluffy. I love the texture and of course the flavor. The moistness is in the perfect point. I added dark chocolate chips to the batter so when you eat a bite you will feel the dark chocolate chip melting in your tongue.

This waffle will leave you crazy and confuse between the flavors. For an instance you can taste the cocoa and then the coffee flavor. Suddenly you have an infusion of these two powerful ingredients that make us the happiest person in the world.

Ingredients:                                                                                                                                                                                       yield: 1 person

1/4 cup whole wheat flour          2tsp brown sugar            1T cocoa powder          1tsp coffee flour         1/2tsp baking powder          1T dark chocolate chips         black coffee fo mixing

For the yogurt: 4 rasberries         1/4cup greek yogurt

Additional toppings: chopped strawberries

Procedure:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    First, turn on your waffler iron to maximum heat.

In the meantime, mix all of the waffle ingredients with the black coffee until consistency.

Now, pour all the batter in the center of the waffle maker and let cook around 6minutes each side.

While it cooks, prepare the yogurt sauce. In a small recipient mash the rasberries. Add the greek yogurt and mix well. Set aside.

Once your waffle is cooked, transfer it to the serving dish and add the rasberry greek yogurt sauce. Add the strawberries and enjoy!
