Cocoa Overnight Parfait

This is a delicious parfait form the Healthy Maven (http://www.thehealthymaven.com/?s=overnight) that I would like to include in my recipe list. She has amazing recipes. I had make many recipes form her blog and they are all delicious. She cook recipes form all types. She is also very creative and expressive in her blogs.

This breakfast dish is delicious, creamy and healthy. Besides it is really easy to prepare. You will have fun making it. You must prepare the oats the night before so it will have the perfect consistency in the morning. I like to add 2tsp-1T of chia seeds for a creamier texture. You will need greek yogurt, rasberries (or other fruit) and your favorite chocolate. In this parfait I used Dagoba’s berry dark chocolate bark pieces which have dried berries in the inside. You may serve the parfait in a cold glass.

Ingredients:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        yield: 1 person

1/2cup oats      1T cocoa       2tsp honey (or swetner of choice)       1/2cup greek yogurt        about 1/3cup rasberries      about 1T dark chocolate          1T chia seeds        1/2cup water

Procedure:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           In a bowl or a jar mix the oats, sweetener, chia seeds, cocoa and water until the cocoa has dissolved. Let it stand overnight in the fridge. The next day, take out the serving glass and add greek yogurt in the bottom. Then, put some of the overnight cocoa oats and finished it with rasberries. Repeat the process until the ingredient or serving dish has finished and topped with your choice of chocolate pieces.
