Coffee Ice Cream


Coffee is the second beverage most drink around the world after the water. There still many myths about coffee. Voltaire once said: “Of course that coffee is a slow poison; I keep drinking it forty years ago.” We know coffee because it is commented that it causes addiction, or dependence, but over all, pleasure. It main compund: cafferine, is what makes us awake and become hyper. It also helps us to concentrate. Believe it or not coffee contains antioxidants! This delicious drink works as a durietic, but we have to be careful because its abuse can lead to dehydration. Coffee also stimulates the digestive system and functions as a laxant. A great cuop of coffee before a performance can help us to perform better. A cup of coffee include 1mg os sodium, 2mg of calcium and 4mg of phosphorous. Beasides, you can get ten percent of your potassium intake with two cups of coffee. On the other hand, coffee can inhibit our calcium intake. It has been prooved that coffee improves the memory.


Additional to drink it, coffe can also be applied to your skin in a srub. Coffee decreases cellulitis and soften the skin.


There are many types to indulge your cup of coffee. Either in the morning or “coffeebreaks”, coffe is ideal for a conversation. You can have an espresso, americano, macchiato, latte, cappuccino, mocha or frappuccino. You can add any flavor to coffees and also prepared it with your choice of milk.


This coffee ice cream is really delicious and is one of my favorites. You can use any topping. I used a big strawberry and Dagoba’s Berry Dark Chocolate.


Ingredients:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 yield: 1 person

2frozen chopped bananas (4-6oz)  black coffee for blending purpose        ice for texture        preferred toppings


Procedure:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   In a blender add the bananas and ice.


Add the coffee until consistency.


For serving, drizzle a bit of coconut oil in a glass and pour coffee in the bottom.


Then,  transfer the ice cream to the serving glass or bowl and add the toppings
