Nutty and healthy macadamia, cocoa and banana pancakes, In these pancakes you will have the crunchiness od the macadamias, the chocolate flavor of the cocoa and the sweetness of the banana. These pancakes are packed with healthy fats, antioxidants and minerals that will give you energy in the morning. I topped them with banana, chopped macadamias, dark chocolate chips and honey. Other toppings ideas are berries or other kind of fruit such as kiwi, macadamia butter if you have on stuck and a chocolate sauce instead of honey.
Ingredients: yield: 1 person
1/4cup whole wheat flour 2tsp brown sugar 1/2 mashed banana (1-1.5oz) 1T chopped macadamias 1T cocoa a pinch of salt 1/4tsp baking powder
Toppings: 2tsp chopped macadamias 1T dark chocolate half a banana (2oz) a drizzle of honey
Procedure: In a bowl mix all the fry ingredients for the pancakes except the chopped macadamias. Now, mix in the mashed banana and water until pancakes consistency. Then, stir in the chopped macadamias. Turn on a stove top on medium heat and add coconut oil to a pan. Pour a desire amount of the batter and cook until bubbles appear.
Then, flip the pancakes and cook 30secs more.
Once done, transfer the pancakes to the serving dish. Finally add the preferred toppings.
