Baked Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal

You won’t believe, but this oatmeal is a substitute for those cinnamon rolls craving! The texture is amazing, the flavor is sweet and cinnamony and the frosting is thick and perfect. It is a super healthy oatmeal with fats from the oats, carbs form the oats and honey and proteins form the oats and greek yogurt. Besides you already know all the healthy benedfits that the cinnamon gives and its thousands of uses in the kitchen.

This oat cooking time is approximately 30mins. You can leave it in the oven while you make other stuffs in the morning sou you won’t be in a hurry, hopefully!

Ingredients:                                                                                                                                                   yield: 1 person

1cup oats         2cups water        2tsp honey        a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg      1/2tsp vanilla

For the frosting: 1/2cup greek yogurt        a dash of cinnamon

Procedure:                                                                                                                                                     Preheat oven at 300°F. In a casserole add the water, oats and spices, stir and cook on medium heat until it boils. Then, lower the heat and cook until tender and done.

Transfer the oatmeal in the serving dish and level the top of the oat. It is similar to level a cake. I felt like Buddy, the cake boss.

Now, add the greek yogurt on top and spread it evenly on top of the leveled oatmeal surface. Then, add the cinnamon and with a knife make a spiral.

Put the dish in the oven and cook for 20mins

Be careful when taking out the dish form the oven. The frosting must be firm and the inside also.
