I love black coffee and stay loyal to it because the flavor of an expreso will taste unique according to the bean and preparation process from the land until the cup. Some black coffees can be sweet, bitter, acids or balanced therefore you will add a sweetner or not to them. Usually, I do not add brown sugar to an espresso or americano unless it is very strong. In that case, I add sugar to stabilize the flavor. Besides, when I went to Versailles Bakery in Miami, I get in love with the cuban coffee they prepared which consit of putting sugar in the cup where the espresso is going to fall and once finished, give it a good stir to have more foam.

But let be sincere, I love Mochaccinos! Putting together rich dark chocolate and coffee is an incredible combo that will make you very happy and boost your system. Both ingredients activates the part of the brain that makes us be happy and that is why the mochaccinos are so famous.  Mochaccino is obviously a blend of mocha and cappuccino so it is a coffee with chocolate and foamy milk.

In Buen Vecino Café they make a succulent mochaccino that delights you deeply to enjoy your coffee time.
It is rich in dark chocolate, an expresso shotand of course the foamy milk. Inmediatly, form the first sip you will experience the flavors of dark chocolate and coffee.

In Arrope, the leaders of coffee in Puerto Rico (I dare to say), they make a surprising mochaccino that will confuse at the beginning because at first you will not noticed the dark chocolate strongly, but towards the end the dark chocolate flavor will be stronger and rich and probably you may want another one. I ask for a little spoon in order to have all the dark chocolate syrup with my coffee.

Now, lets talk seriously. A mochaccino will probablhy ahve between 15-30g of sugar and it may be expensive to consume it daily in a cafeteria. The positive new is that for yours and my happiness and wealthness, I had develope a mochaccino formula! It contains, cocoa owder, expresso, foamy milk, sweetner of choice and dark chocolate chips! You may use your sweetner of choice and add a moderate quantity.

Ingredients:                                                                                                                                                                                 yield: 1 person                                                                                                                                                                           serving size: 6oz

1-2shots expresso   or 1/3cup black coffee     1/3cup almond milk      1/4cup ginger water       2tsp honey                1T cocoa powder      1Tdark chocolate chips

Procedure:                                                                                                                                                                                   Pour the cocoa powder in the serving cup, if microwave or casserole if heat it in a stove, with the water, almond milk and honey. Heat it in a pan or microwave during 45secs or until the cocoa powder dilute completely. Then, with a milk frother, froth the milk until foamy. Finally add the expresso or black coffee and add the dark chocolate chips.
