Rosemary and Almonds French Toasts


These french toasts are so unusual and healthy. First, rosemary is a herb that help the stomach to digest and it brings a frech flavor to any recipe. Second, almonds are one of the most medicinal nuts. They prevent and fight headaches and gastritis. It is also proven in many researches that they are great for mantaining a healthy and strong heart.


Ingredients:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           yield: 1 person

1.5 whole wheat bread slices      2 eggwhites        1/4tsp nutmeg       a pinch of rosemary     3T sliced almonds       1/4cup ginger water

For the syrup:   1tsp honey               1/4tsp rosemary        1tsp ginger water


Procedure:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             In a recipient mix the eggwhites with the nutmeg and rosemary and add the ginger water.


Cut the bread slices in half and pinch with the fork as many times to make little holes in order for them to absorb the mixture easily. Soak the slices in the mixture until well coated. Now, turn on a pan on medium heat and spray coconut oil. Put the bread slices in the pan. Take the almonds and divide them in top of the french toasts.


Cook about 1.5mins and flip for 1 more minutes.


The almonds will get toast and aromatic. Then, transfer them to the serving dish.

While the french toasts are cooking, prepare the rosemary syrup by mixing all the ingredientes in a small recipient. Let it rest for the hney to get the rosemary flavor.

When serving, drizzle the syrup on the french toasts.
