I never thought a banan and strawberry oatmeal will taste so good, sweet and unique. Sincerely, I expected it to be only banananaand strawberries, but it turns out to be amzing! I added half of a mashed banana to the casserole in which I cooked the oatmeal and instead of water I used strawberry water which I obtained it from the frozen strawberries that were melting.
Bananas are an excelent source of energy and essential minerals and so strawberries. They were ment for each other and are great for smoothies. Strawberries are known for their antioxidant content and low sugar content. Strawberries’phytonutrients can act as anti-inflamatory fruit. I store my strawberries in the refrigerator for a better quality and endurance.
This bowl of oat is super creamy and nutrient dense. I used hemp seeds and coconut shreds for toppings, but you can also topped it with any nut butter, seeds, nuts or dark chocolate chips.
Ingredients: yield: 1 person
1/2cup oats 1cup strawberry water 1.5oz mashed banana 1/4tsp vainilla 1/4tsp coconut essence (optional) Toppings: strawberries 1/2 kiwi 1oz banana 1T hemp seeds 1tsp coconut flakes
In a pot mashed the banana. Then, add the water, oats, vanilla, and coconut essence. Give it a little mix and let cook for about 3mins in medium heat. Once the oats look creamy and soft, turn off the stovestop and serve the oatmeal in a deep dish.
Add the toppings and enjoy!
