My sister and my best friend had been pushing me to make a peanut butter and celery shake. They told me I had to taste it because it was very refreshing, healthy and incredibly delicious. Every time I wanted to do it, I did not had all the ingredients, but this morning was meant to be! I prepared this energy shake with half an apple, oats, greek yogurt, peanut butter, banana and celery. These ingredients blended together succesfully.
Since the celery has antiinflamatory properties and act as a diurectic, you may have this shake after a workout. But you may also drink it before because the nutrients will deliver you enough energy. This shake can be enjoyed for breakfast or as a meal. What I liked the most about this recipe was the fresh taste that the celery delivered.
Ingredients: yield: 1 person
3oz banana 1/4cup oats 2ice cubes 1T peanut butter 100g apple 2celery stalks 1/2cup greek yogurt
Procedure: Cut the banana in slices and also the apple and the celery. Leave some pieces for garnish and put the rest in a blender. Add all the ingredients and add water or a vegan milk for blending process. Once thick, transfer it to a glass or cup and top it with the main ingredients. You may also add more peanut butter on top if you are a really peanut butter fanatic.
