I had make banana and chocolate chips pancakes before but they had fatty ingredients and I did not calculate the macros. This new banana and chocolate chip pancakes are trully delicious, spongy, and chocolaty. Since I used whole wheat flour instead of almond flour, it contains less grams of fat. I topped with half of a mashed banana. For the dark chocolate chips, I always use Dove Dark Chocolate Bar because it is less expensive. I bought a box of 18 bars for ten dollars and it lasts me long. I cut them in small pieces and added them to any recipe. I love dark chocolate beacuse besides it is healthy and contains antioxidants and makes me happy (although notlike coffe) it is not too sweet neither too bitter. They are so wet that it is not required to have a syrup, but just in case I decided to make a fark chocolate hot sauce. Simply microwave two dark chocolate squares with 2tbsp of water during 15secs. Then, give it a stir and microwave again for 10secs if needed.
Ingredients: yield: 1 person
1/4cup whole wheat flour 1 egg 2tsp brown sugar 2oz mashed banana 1/2tsp vanilla 1/4tsp baking soda a pinch of salt 2tbsp greek yogurt 3Dove dark chocolate squares
additional 2oz mashed banana
Procedure: In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients. Then, add the rest of the ingrgredients and carefully give it a whisk until everything is well combined. Cut the chocolate squares and add them to the batter and mix again. In a hot skillet add a little bit of coconut oil and add the desire amount of batter.
Once they begin to grow and become fluffy, flip them and let them cook 30secs more. Repaet the process with the remaining batter and put the panckaes on a plate.
For serving, mashed 2 oz of a banana and add them between each pancake. Eat them alone, with honey or chocolate sauce!
